Rotary Village Doctor Programme

Rotary Village Doctor Programme

This program has been going on for over 20 years now.

Medical doctors from Rotary and the community choose an under-served area and provide free medical care and distribute medication to the needy.

This project has been very well received by the community at large.

The Rotary Village Doctor Program is a biannual event aimed at providing communities with free medical service for one day.

A Team of Specialists Comprising of General Practitioners, Gynecologists, Pediatricians, Surgeons, ENT specialists, Dentists and Ophthalmologists

These specialists including a Veterinarian and Pharmacist examine and prescribe medications that are dispensed free of cost to anyone attending.

Additional support is provided by the Rotaract Club of St Vincent and the Students Of the Trinity Medical College.

This project has assisted thousands throughout the Island from Fancy to Spring Village and the Grenadine Islands of Bequia, Canouan and Mayreau

Rotary Village Doctor also assisted in with much needed medical assistance needed in the neighbouring Island of Grenada in 2004.
